Code of Conduct
AI Foundry Chester is built on trust, respect, and honest conversation. These guidelines ensure the room stays valuable for everyone.
Expected Behavior
Be honest. If something did not work, say so. If you do not know, say so. The value of this group is in candid discussion, not polished narratives.
Be respectful. Disagree with ideas, not people. Challenge assumptions, not competence. Ask questions to understand, not to undermine.
Be present. Engage with the work being shown. Ask real questions. Contribute to discussions. This is not a passive audience.
Be discreet. What is shared in the room stays in the room. Do not share details of unfinished work, company-specific information, or personal stories without explicit permission.
Unacceptable Behavior
Harassment of any kind. This includes offensive comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, appearance, race, or religion. It also includes unwelcome sexual attention or inappropriate physical contact.
Aggressive or dismissive behavior. Talking over people, interrupting repeatedly, or dismissing questions as "basic" or "obvious."
Commercial solicitation. Using the group to pitch services, recruit for roles, or generate leads. Sponsors have clear terms. Members are not here to be sold to.
Sharing confidential information. Posting photos, recordings, or detailed notes from sessions without permission. Sharing company-specific details or unfinished work shown by others.
Enforcement
If someone violates this code of conduct, we will address it directly. Depending on severity, this may result in:
- A private conversation to clarify expectations
- A formal warning
- Removal from the current session
- Permanent removal from the group
We will not tolerate repeat violations or behavior that makes the room unsafe or unwelcoming.
Reporting
If you experience or witness behavior that violates this code of conduct, please report it.
You can speak to an organizer in person at any session, or contact us privately via the contact form.
All reports will be handled with discretion. We will not share your identity without your permission unless required by law.
Questions
If you are unsure whether something is appropriate, ask. We would rather clarify expectations than deal with misunderstandings.
This code of conduct applies to all AI Foundry Chester events, online spaces, and communications.
